ABSTRACT

ASSESSMENT OF THE BEST DISTRICTS AT ASAHAN DISTRICT LEVEL USING THE WEIGHTED PRODUCT METHOD

The assessment of the best sub-district in Asahan Regency is an effort to encourage the improvement of sub-district government performance in providing public services. This assessment process requires an objective and measurable method to ensure fair and transparent results. This study aims to design and develop a web-based information system using the Weighted Product (WP) method to assist decision-making in determining the best sub-district. The WP method is chosen because it can handle multi-criteria decision-making by multiplying the values of each criterion weighted accordingly, resulting in a ranking of sub-district alternatives. The application is developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database. This system allows users to input sub-district data, assign criterion weights, perform automatic calculations, and display real-time ranking results. The test results show that the system simplifies the evaluation process and produces accurate and effective decisions. With this application, it is expected that the best sub-district assessment process will become more transparent, efficient, and measurable.
