At SMP Negeri 5 Kisaran there is no system that can measure students' intelligence levels. For some time now, students have been given information to measure intelligence levels by taking intelligence tests carried out by tutoring in the city of Range. This opportunity cannot be taken simultaneously by every student, not because there is no time to take the test, but the cost of the intelligence test is expensive. This research aims to determine the level of intelligence in students by using an application by implementing an expert system. The application of an expert system is intended to imitate the ways and behavior of experts in carrying out an action or taking a position. The method used to find the certainty value is the Certainty Factor method. With this application, it makes it easier for the school to determine the level of intelligence of each student precisely and accurately according to the nature or character of each student.
