ABSTRACT
SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT OPTIMIZATION FOR OPTIMIZATION
EFFICIENCY AT UD. GLORIOUS STAR

This study aims to analyze and optimize supply chain management at UD. Bintang
Gemilang to achieve better efficiency in its operations. The research method used
is a case study with a qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth
interviews, direct observation, and analysis of relevant documents. The results
showed that there are several critical points in the supply chain that cause
inefficiencies, such as raw material procurement time, production process, and
distribution. By applying optimization models, such as just-in-time (JIT) and SWOT
analysis, this study recommends improvement strategies that include improving
communication between suppliers and the company, using information technology
for supply chain monitoring, and training human resources. The implementation of
these recommendations is expected to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs,
and increase customer satisfaction at UD. Bintang Gemilang. This research makes
a significant contribution to the development of supply chain management in small
and medium industries, and serves as a reference for future research.
