Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the development of science,
especially in the field of information technology, has had a significant
impact on various sectors, including the health sector, as seen in the
UPTD Silau Laut Health Center, Asahan Regency, North Sumatra. So far,
there has been no classification system for the type of hypertension disease
in the health center. Therefore, a classification system is needed to assist
the health center in determining the severity of the disease in order to
prevent delays in handling hypertension. In this context, the application of
data mining is the right solution for the classification of hypertension
diseases. A classification method, Naive Bayes Classifier is a classifier
that uses probability and statistical methods to predict future opportunities
based on the results of past experience. The attributes used in this study
included age, gender, BMI, systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Based on
the test results, the system was built using the PHP programming language
and the MYSQL database. This system can classify the severity of the
disease into the classes of normal, prehypertension and hypertension.
