FORECASTING THE NEED FOR MS GLOW PRODUCTS WITH LEAST SQUARE AT MS GLOW PUTRI STORE

Ms Glow Putri Store faces challenges in managing product stock MS Glow Putri Store faces challenges in managing beauty product inventory due to the absence of an accurate forecasting system. The problems that arise include the accumulation of product stock that exceeds market demand and shortages of stock in products that have high demand. This causes inefficiency in inventory management and less than optimal budget allocation. Therefore, this study aims to develop a beauty product stock requirement forecasting system by applying the Least Square method. This study uses a system-based approach with stages of analysis, design, implementation, and testing using the Black Box Testing method. This system was developed using the Visual Basic programming language and MySQL database to store and manage historical sales data. The results of the study show that the application of the Least Square method can increase the accuracy of predicting stock requirements, thereby helping stores optimize product inventory, reduce the risk of stockpiling, and increase operational efficiency. With the proposed system, MS Glow Putri Store can be more responsive to changes in market trends and ensure product availability according to customer demand. The implementation of this system is expected to be a solution in increasing the effectiveness of stock management and business competitiveness in the beauty industry.
