This study aims to design and implement a grocery sales forecasting system at Akiet Store using the Single Exponential Smoothing (SES) method. The background of this study is based on the need for Akiet Store to predict the right amount of stock to meet consumer demand efficiently, considering that so far predictions have been made manually and inaccurately. By utilizing sales data for the previous year and using the SES method which gives weight to the latest data, this system is able to produce more accurate predictions for the next period. The system is designed using the PHP programming language and MySQL database, and the test results show that the system can simplify the sales prediction process for various types of groceries, such as rice, salt, eggs, milk, and cooking oil. Thus, this application is expected to help Akiet Store in making decisions related to stock management and sales planning.
