FORECASTING INVENTORY SES IN AJEN'S KNOWLEDGE

Advances in various fields of technology, especially information and computer
technology, have facilitated the emergence of various new innovations in
presenting information to meet information needs. Ajen Tofu Factory is a trading
company that sells tofu for daily needs. Staple foods are products that meet
people's basic nutritional needs. The Ajen tofu factory is on Jl. Sisingamangaraja
Jl. Kp. Tahu No.34, Kisaran Bar., Kec. West Kisaran City, Asahan Regency,
North Sumatra 21214. Likewise with the sale of tofu at the Ajen Tahu Factory,
which is a trading company that sells tofu for daily needs. Staple foods are
products that meet people's basic nutritional needs. Each region usually has
different needs for main ingredients. This is greatly influenced by location and
climate. Local people or buyers who care about the Ajen Tofu Factory must
always monitor the condition of their stock. However, the Ajen tofu factory has
problems processing sales data and is very inefficient so there is often instability
in sales. This research uses quantitative research methods that are based on
science. The data analysis carried out is quantitative or statistical in nature, with
the aim of testing the established hypothesis. Forecasting is a science that is
useful for estimating future values or events. Every company wants maximum
profits so an effective sales forecasting technique is needed so that there is no
buildup of goods in the warehouse. One method of forecasting is Single
Exponential Smoothing (SES). It is hoped that this can help increase the accuracy
of forecasting tofu sales at the Ajen Tofu Factory for the next month and make it
easier for the Ajen Tofu Factory to find out Tofu sales quickly and accurately.
