This can be seen from the frequent occurrence of this trading business experiencing a shortage or excess stock. If this trading business experiences a shortage of raw materials, it will have an impact on the lack of smooth sales process, because the number of products produced is not as desired. The number of existing transactions will affect the stock of dry cocoa beans in Return Jaya. Based on this, a sales strategy is needed by predicting or forecasting inventory. In this case, forecasting is needed. This forecasting is done to predict the stock of dry cocoa beans using the Single Moving Average method with a moving average of 3 months. Forecasting is done based on data contained in the past which is analyzed using certain methods. Based on the forecasting results, this method can be used to predict the stock of goods by minimizing forecasting errors.
