Abstract

APPLICATION OF K-MEANS TO GROUP FACTORS OF STUDENT
SATISFACTION TOWARDS TECHNOLOGY-BASED LEARNING
SYSTEM AT STATE VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL 1 AIR JOMAN

The development of information technology has had a significant influence on the
world of education, including in technology-based learning systems. SMK Negeri
1 Air Joman as a vocational education institution is required to be able to adopt
learning technology in order to create a more effective and efficient learning
system. However, the success of implementing this technology is highly dependent
on the level of student satisfaction as direct users. This study aims to group the
factors that influence student satisfaction with the technology-based learning
system at SMK Negeri 1 Air Joman using the K-Means Clustering method. The
study was conducted by distributing questionnaires via Google Form to students
and analyzing the data using RapidMiner software. The grouping results are
divided into three clusters, namely: Very Satisfied, Satisfied, and Not Satisfied.
This study produces information that can be used by schools to formulate
strategies to improve the quality of technology-based learning according to
student needs and expectations. Thus, the proposed system is able to assist in
making decisions more precisely in order to improve the quality of education
services.
