The role of information technology in the b usiness sector, especially in the
coffee industry, such as coffee shops, is becoming increasingly important to
improve operational effectiveness. Orion Coffee Space faces challenges in
managing its supply chain, mainly due to reliance on manual methods to place
orders for raw materials to suppliers. This often results in shortages or
overstocks, which negatively impacts operational costs and customer satisfaction.
The methods for this research include observation, interviews, with the system
designed using PHP programming language and MySQL database. with the aim
of improving the efficiency of managing raw material stocks and supplier orders.
The results show that the use of a web-based SCM system can significantly
improve the supply chain by offering up-to-date stock information, reducing
recording errors, and speeding up the raw material ordering process.
Furthermore, the system promotes transparency and better communication
between Orion Coffee Space and its suppliers. Therefore, implementing web
based SCM is the right solution to improve operational efficiency and increase
competitiveness in business.
