IMPLEMENTING LEAST SQUARE MEETS STOCK NEEDS
HIJRAH STORE KISARAN GOODS

Forecasting plays a crucial role in inventory management, especially for retail businesses like Hijrah Store Kisaran, which specializes in selling Muslim clothing. A common issue faced is the mismatch between stock availability and market demand, often resulting in either stockouts or excessive unsold inventory. This study aims to apply the Least Square method to predict the annual stock needs for trending Muslim apparel. The research uses a quantitative approach by analyzing sales data from the past 12 months. The forecasting system was developed using PHP programming language and MySQL database, and tested using the black-box method. The results indicate that the Least Square method can provide accurate stock estimations. With this system, Hijrah Store Kisaran can make more strategic and efficient stocking decisions, avoid overstocking or understocking, and improve overall inventory management efficiency.
