Abstract

ABSTRACT

SCM SYSTEM IMPLEMENTATION TO OPTIMIZE STOCK IN PANGLONG SUBUR MAKMUR

The development of information technology plays a crucial role in improving operational efficiency across various business sectors, including inventory management in building material enterprises. Panglong Subur Makmur, a building material store located in Batu Bara Regency, has faced problems in inventory management that is still performed manually, leading to recording errors, warehouse overstock, and quality degradation of materials. To address these issues, this study applies the Supply Chain Management (SCM) concept as a solution to optimize the procurement and inventory management system. The system development method used in this research is the Waterfall model, which includes stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system was developed using PHP programming language and MySQL database, featuring real-time stock monitoring, supplier data management, and procurement transaction recording. The implementation results show that the SCM-based system significantly improves stock data accuracy, accelerates the ordering process, and reduces inventory buildup. So, the application of SCM proves effective in optimizing stock management and enhancing the supply chain efficiency of Panglong Subur Makmur.
